CADA Awarded Capacity-Building Grant from Ohio Arts Council

The Center for Applied Drama and Autism (CADA) has been awarded a matching grant for $5,000.00 from Ohio Arts Council (OAC). A matching grant means that CADA must raise an additional $5,000.00. This matching grant will be used for training and staffing for the in-house configuration and implementation of a comprehensive data management plan and centralized Client Relationship Management (CRM) system. The purpose of this work is to increase our ability to process organizational data while decreasing the human and time resources dedicated to data management both now and in the future.

This work will have an immediate and continuing effect on CADA by increasing the value of each team member's contribution and allowing for the most of our staff's precious time and effort to be spent on mission-core efforts which make the greatest difference to our students, families, and artists. In addition, the resulting increased capacity for data collection and analysis will lead to improvement of program offerings and delivery methods, ensuring that we are making the greatest impact with our financial and human resources.

“Over the past three years, CADA has demonstrated an impressive tenacity to adapt and acquire new technological skills by pivoting to all-online programming in response to the COVID-19 pandemic,” says Interim Executive Director Anna-Jeannine Griesacker. “As we move into our 2022-2023 Season, we are being presented with increasing opportunities for both in-person and remote service, resulting in a critical need to increase our capacity. A CRM will allow us to evaluate our outreach methods in order to keep programming accessible for all, and keep abreast of the changing state of our local, national, and worldwide health.”

CADA is very grateful to Governor Mike DeWine, Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted, and members of the Ohio General Assembly for acknowledging the importance of public funding for the arts through state budget allocations to OAC. We would like to thank the OAC staff and board for recognizing our artistic contributions and for supporting Ohio communities culturally, educationally, and economically through the arts.

If you would like to support the Center for Applied Drama and Autism’s future, there has never been a better time! Your donation will automatically be matched by the Ohio Arts Council… so donate to our Fall fundraiser today.
